According to the specialist website Low & Crime, the assailant attacked the police station because of a disagreement with the police. The latter asked the police by phone to keep his children for an hour. This request was apparently denied by the peace officers, which drove the father mad.
According to a Cohasset police statement, the 30-year-old “entered the hall with a chainsaw on and began cutting through the security door.” Present behind the door, a receptionist was able to barricade himself to call for reinforcements.

After his crazy gesture, the 35-year-old man barricaded himself in his house, which is close to the police station. The maniac then insulted the police officers before displaying two children under the age of five in front of the second floor window.

The 30-year-old was finally jailed after being taken to hospital. Accused of violence with a weapon and endangering children, he pleaded not guilty during the court hearing on Monday.
