the City says stop dog droppings with a fine of up to 750 euros

Like her colleague from Bergerac, the mayor has just issued an order which states that all dog walkers must be provided with two collection bags to prepare for any eventuality.

Monday, May 23, the mayor of Périgueux, Delphine Labails, signed an order concerning dog excrement on the public domain. People accompanying a dog on a walk must have two collection bags. Indeed, the collection of waste in public spaces is mandatory.

As a reminder, the municipality provides bag distributors throughout the city.

In case of violation, the owner is liable to a fine of up to 750 euros, except for people with a disability card. This decree echoes that taken in Bergerac on April 11, with similar provisions.
