Organized at the Media Library by the Sainte-Maxime/USA Twin Cities Committee, led by Nicole Guillemard, the “Great Transatlantic Photo Contest” exhibition ended last week.
Remember that the theme for this 9e edition was “Water in all its states”. After the awarding, during the opening, of the awards from the jury, from the city and the twinning city committee, the public award was presented.
The award winners
It is the photo by Marie-Ange Pinoteaux, entitled “Pont d’Arc”, which was awarded. This image received the most votes from visitors to the exhibition who, after their visit, voted for their three favorite images.
“Cat… My… Water”, by Béatrice Fioretta (2e) and “Sun through the clouds on the water”, by Michel Rigouin (3rd) complete the podium.
Go to North Carolina
The ten pictures with the most votes will now cross the Atlantic, towards North Carolina. They will be exhibited in Matthews, a twin city which hosts the same type of competition across the Atlantic.
Renaud Guillemard, responsible for the photo contest and member of the Sainte-Maxime/USA management team, is already meeting all interested parties in 2023, when the “Great Transatlantic Photo Contest” will celebrate its 10th year.e editing.
A baking contest
After celebrating Thanksgiving on 24 November, the association’s members will meet again on 28 January for the traditional American pastry competition. French pastry chefs will have to put on their aprons and put their hands in the flour to make typical American cakes.
