After avoiding the witness box himself, despite rumors that he would be called to testify, Elon Musk has given his opinion on the ongoing trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.
Naturally, he took to Twitter to share his feelings.
The SpaceX and Tesla CEO has been linked to Amber Heard after she split from husband Depp and he split from wife Talulah Riley. Although the exact time period has not been confirmed, Musk and Heard reportedly dated for about a year, until August 2017.
Musk and actor James Franco were originally supposed to testify in the drawn-out trial, but it was later confirmed that neither would take the stand.
Responding to a tweet from podcast host and MIT scientist Lex Fridman, who shared his own observations on the high-profile lawsuit, the world’s richest man offered some thoughts on the matter, after the Heard and Depp’s legal teams rested their arguments and the jury adjourned to deliberate.
Fridman tweeted: “My takeaway from the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial:
“Fame is a hell of a drug (for some).
“2. Psychiatrists and lawyers have very different skill levels.
“3. Lying to millions of people is something humans are capable of.
“4. Love can be messy.
“5. A mega pint of wine. »
Contrary to his often joking, meme-filled tweets, Musk seriously wrote in response:
“I hope they both go ahead. At their best, they are both amazing. »

“I really hope we start looking at people for what they are for the best and not for the worst,” Mr. Fridman responded.
