Elon Musk released a new perfume. And as he revealed on Twitter, it’s already a hit.
Elon Musk claimed to have sold more than 20,000 bottles of his Burnt Hair perfume.
Earlier this month, the billionaire founder of Tesla Motors announced he was launching a fragrance that could be purchased through his website The Boring Company. Named Burnt Hair, the scent bills itself as “the essence of repulsive desire” and is priced at $100.
“It’s like bending over a candle, but without all the work,” reads the site’s description.
On Twitter, Elon Musk announced that 20,000 bottles had been purchased, for a total of $2 million in sales. “With a name like mine, getting into the perfume business was inevitable – why did I fight for so long! “wrote the 51-year-old man, before encouraging the continuation of sales. “Please buy my perfume, so I can buy Twitter”.
Elon Musk reached an agreement to acquire Twitter in April, although negotiations are still ongoing.
