The French crypto-asset trading and market-making solution Flowdesk raises $30 million to deploy in the United States. This operation was carried out with Eurazeo, Aglaé Ventures, ISAI, Speedinvest, Fabric.vc, Ledger and Coinbase, as well as 20 business angels, including Alexandre Prot (Qonto), Nicolas Julia (Sorare), Pascal Gauthier (Ledger) or Sébastien Borget (The Sandbox).
Launched in 2020 by Guilhem Chaumont, Paul Bugnot, François Cluzeau and Balthazar Giraux, Flowdesk deploys a trading solution but also market-making services for Web3 players, including issuers of cryptocurrency tokens.
Opening of offices in the United States this year
“Today, there are nearly 10,000 cryptocurrency issuers, and that number is constantly growing. All these issuers have large liquidity needs, a need in particular linked to the fragmentation of the crypto markets.explains Guilhem Chaumont. “This is where we come in by offering a trading infrastructure and a market-making product, which ensures the liquidity of these tokens. » To date, the startup has more than 50 cryptocurrency token issuers, companies and investment funds, among its clients.
With 35 employees, the startup aims to develop new products and recruit to achieve “a hundred employees by the end of the year”says Guilhem Chaumont. “We will also be opening offices in the United States this year. This opening is justified by a need for expansion but also for coverage of trading activities. »
