A helicopter, a dog and 15 gendarmes to find a three-year-old child in Vivières

A three-year-old child escaped the vigilance of his parents and left his home to disappear in the village of Vivières, near Villers-Cotterêts, this Saturday at the end of the morning. The gendarmes were notified 45 minutes later and immediately committed significant resources to find the young boy. The presence of ponds around the home was of particular concern. A helicopter, a canine team, two patrols from the Villers-Cotterêts community of brigades, three men from the Psig (Gendarmerie surveillance and intervention platoon) from Soissons, the second in command of the gendarmerie company, i.e. a fifteen firefighters were mobilized. The child was found safe and sound at 1:30 p.m., about 500 meters from his home.
